The Jakkalsvlei Wine Estate, named after all the jackals seen in the mountains surrounding the farmland, is situated 40 km from Mossel Bay at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains. The combination of the southern and northern slopes of these mountains allow for the cultivation of quality grapes being one of only a handful of wines cultivated in this picturesque region. The Jakkalsvlei range consists of 6 wines: Sauvignon Blanc, River Cuvée (Chenin Blanc / Sauvignon Blanc), La Perlé Rosé (Red Muscadel / Pinotage), Mount Cuvée (Pinotage / Merlot), Pinotage and the award winner Cabernet Sauvignon as well as two delicious dessert wines, the Hanepoot and the Red Muscadel.
